Catherine Elizabeth Deeley, aka 'Cat' was born 23rd October 1976.  She is a television presenter and former model.

At 21, she shot to fame co-hosting the children's series SMTV Live, alongside Ant and Dec and went on to host Stars in their Eyes from 2004 until 2006.

Her initial career started as a model - at the age of 14 she entered a regional edition of a BBC competition for The Clothes Show, reaching the national finals. She was spotted by an agent for Storm modelling agency and was signed as a model under her nickname of Cat.

She became a full-time fashion model at the age of 18 but quit in 1997 to become an MTV UK presenter, usually with Edith Bowman.

SMTV Live then came along where she won the hearts of the young nation, soon followed by the shows spin-off programme CD:UK  In 2001, she won a Children's BAFTA award.

In 2003 she became patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

More recently she has pursued her career stateside.  In 2007 she presented the UK coverage of the sixth season of American Idol for ITV2 and has guest hosted the the US version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.  She appeared on BBC America's broadcast of Gordon Ramsay's F-Word where she was served up to hungry customers.

Cat began dating actor Jack Huston in 2008 and had a previous long term relationship with public relations executive Mark Whelan,

Cat Deeley has been supporting the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) since 2008 and has visited UNICEF projects in the Philippines and Brazil. In December 2009 she was made a UNICEF UK ambassador.

Promotionally, she has been the face of Shape Water and a number of Garnier Fructis products during her career.
