Hilary Erhard Duff was born September 28th 1987 - she is an American actress and singer who rose to fame for playing the title role in the television series Lizzie McGuire.
This success landed her leading parts in feature films including Cheaper by the Dozen, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
She has a very successful music career with the release of three albums - all of which have been certified platinum. To date she has sold over thirteen million records.
Hilary has also launched her 'Stuff by Hilary Duff' clothing line and Femme for DKNY Jeans, and was active in launching two exclusive perfume collections with Elizabeth Arden. She is signed on as a model to IMG Models New York.
Hilary is involved with various charities. She is an animal rights enthusiast and a member of Kids with a Cause. It is reported that she donated $250,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
She began dating singer Aaron Carter in 2001 - a relationship which lasted two years. She began dating Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden in 2004, but they separated in November 2006.
In 2007, she began dating NHL player Mike Comrie. and in February 2010 they announced their engagement.
