Katherine Ann Moss was born on 16th January 1974 and needs very little introduction. She is an English model, best known for her waifish figure and uncommonly short height for a fashion model.
Kate has appeared on the front cover of over 300 fashion magazines in her career. She came 2nd on the Forbes top-earning models list, estimated to have earned $9 million in 2007 alone.
Kate patented the waif look in 1993 with a highly publicised campaign for Calvin Klein. Together with actress Sienna Miller, she has become one of the main proponents of boho-chic.
Her reputation has credited her for setting numerous trends. In recent years, she has popularised denim cut-off shorts, Ugg boots, ballet flats, Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots, skinny jeans, waistcoat, as well as recently bringing blazers and ankle boots back into popularity.
Kate has a daughter, Lila Grace born in 2002, with Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack.
